Our 2019 Regional All-Stars Gala indoor track and field athletes:
Boys indoor track athlete of the year: Cooper Mason, Mount Anthony senior
Mason had a strong senior season for the MAU boys track team.
At the New England meet, he had his second best time of the season in hurdles and was part of the 4x400 relay team that took six seconds off of their personal record.
At the Vermont state meet, Mason finished second in the 55m hurdles, finishing the race in 8.96 seconds.
In MAU's first meet of the season at HVCC, he finished fourth in the triple jump and hurdles.
Girls indoor track athlete of the year: Rebecca Crosier, Mount Anthony junior
Crosier etched her name in the MAU record books, breaking multiple records this past winter.
Just this season, she set school records in the triple jump, long jump and pole vault, and broke her own marks multiple times. Those add to the outdoor decathlon record she previously held.
In the Division I state championships, she won three state titles, taking first in 55m, 300m and long jump. At that meet, she anchored the 4x200 relay that finished fourth in the meet and qualified for New Englands.
Crosier was chosen for this same Gala honor last winter as well.
