POWNAL — A Pownal woman has been ordered to appear in court after fleeing the scene of a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, police said.

At about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, troopers from the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Route 7, according to a media release from the state police.

Investigation revealed that Victoria Woods, 45, was traveling south in a 1992 GMC Sierra and attempted to pass when she collided with a 2016 Ford Fusion driven by Douglas Robertson, 75, of Pownal.

She fled the scene and was located shortly after, according to the release. She was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court for failure to stop on Aug. 12.

There were no injuries as a result of the crash, and both vehicles sustained minor damage.

The Bennington County Sheriff's Department assisted the state police.
