Vt. Fish & Wildlife to hold cottontail hunting seminar

ADDISON — The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department will hold a cottontail rabbit hunting seminar from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10 at the Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area in Addison.

Hunter Education Instructor, Dan Lovell, along with his beagle, Hunter, will begin the seminar with a workshop about hunting eastern cottontail rabbits with beagles. The seminar will conclude with a hunt on the grounds of Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area.

"Both experienced and first-time hunters stand to benefit from this seminar," said John Pellegrini, hunter education training coordinator with Vermont Fish & Wildlife.

Sign up by Wednesday, Feb. 7, at www.vtfishandwildlife.com. Go to "Hunt," then Hunter Education and Fish & Wildlife Seminars. Space is limited to the first ten people who register, and these seminars fill up quickly so sign up as early as possible.

The seminar is free, and participants should bring a lunch. For more information, call John Pellegrini at 802-793-1894.
