The Checkup for June 19: 6 new COVID cases reported in Vermont

According to the Vermont Department of Health, there have been nine new cases of COVID-19 in Vermont since Thursday, bringing the cumulative total to 1,144. Five of the new cases are in Chittenden County.
Bennington County had one new case, raising the cumulative total to 69. New cases were also reported in Rutland, Lamoille and Orleans counties.
No Vermonters died of the disease since Thursday. The death toll stands at 56. Two Vermonters remain hospitalized.
So far, 55,887 tests have been administered.
The health department reported that 860 people were being monitored as of Thursday, and 1,127 have completed monitoring. The number increased significantly as of June 15, when close contacts and travelers who are being monitored in Sara Alert were added.
Two more Vermonters have recovered from COVID-19 since Thursday, bringing the cumulative total to 917.
