Stratton Mountain School to screen 'Face of Winter' Jan. 19

STRATTON — Stratton Mountain School's annual Summit Series is back for 2019, featuring film for the first time. The series kicks off on at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19 with Warren Miller's "Face of Winter," featuring world-class skiers — including SMS's own Sophie Caldwell (Nordic `08), Jessie Diggins (SMS T2), and Simi Hamilton (SMS T2) — as they train like champions.

Loving the pure joys of winter is something we have in common with the late Warren Miller — who helped create and capture the magic of skiing. This fall, "Face of Winter," the 69th installment from Warren Miller Entertainment presented by Volkswagen, will bring new and veteran athletes together to pay tribute to the man who started it all. Follow along and celebrate a life lived in high places on the Stratton Mountain School campus at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
