Southern Vermont businesses, venues announce change of hours, closures

VERMONT

Supermarkets 

--Effective Sunday morning, March 15, 2020, all 24-hour Price Chopper, Market 32 and Market Bistro stores will close at 1:00 a.m. and reopen at 6:00 a.m. to facilitate the restocking of product and to perform additional preventative sanitation.

-- Shaws Supermarkets are limiting hours in some areas. Manchester’s Shaws will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.Shaw's is offering special shopping times for at-risk customers: 7-9 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

--River Bend Market is open. They ask customers to respect social distancing and leave children at home if possible, and can assemble orders for pickup.

-- River Valley Market is open and happy to help customers with pickup if needed.

-- Hannaford Supermarkets announced effective Tuesday, March 24 that its stores will offer dedicated shopping hours for people age 60 and older, as well as those with compromised immune systems. Stores will open early from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Tuesday through Thursday to service this vulnerable population and allow a less crowded shopping environment, which enables better social distancing. In addition, Hannaford is shortening its general store-operating hours starting Saturday, March 21 in order to provide for additional time to clean, stock shelves and give associates additional time to rest.  The new daily hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Restaurants 

-- Al Ducci’s Italian Pantry in Manchester will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Friday for curbside pickup and delivery.

-- Bonnet & Main Café in Manchester will remain open for take-out 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

-- Christos Pizza in Manchester will offer only take out and delivery.

-- Cilantro in Manchester will be open normal hours for takeout service, accepting credit cards only.

--Cupini’s is closing for the foreseeable future; cooking classes will be rescheduled.

-- Depot Street Burgers in Manchester will be available for curbside pickup noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Pay over phone.

-- Dorset Inn is offering to go and delivery within Dorset, 5 to 7 p.m. They will also be delivering meals to be picked up at Stratton Mountain Market & Deli at 6.30 p.m. nightly. All orders being picked up at Stratton need to be placed by 5 p.m. and paid for ahead of time. Order: cutt.ly/HtxujIA

--  Dosa Kitchen in Brattleboro is stopping regular hours. 

-- Folly is offering their menu to go.

-- Fortunas Italian Market in Manchester open 10-5 daily.

-- Garlic John’s in Manchester is temporarily closed. 

-- Grindstone Pub in Bondville is offering to go, curbside and delivery within a 5-mile radius from 4 to 8 p.m. daily.

-- Gringo Jacks in Manchester is open for takeout.

-- Harvest Brewing in Bennington has closed as of Tuesday.

-- JJ Hapgood in Peru for breakfast, lunches, dinners, family meals and woodfired pizza takeout.

-- Maple Leaf Tavern is offering pickup food to go.

-- Mystic Cafe and Wine Bar will be available for takeout.

-- New American Grill in Londonderry will be open for curbside pick up and delivery.

-- Nipper’s Cafe & Steakhouse is closed until May 1.

-- North Star Pizza, call for pickup and delivery.

-- Pangaea in North Bennington closes effective Monday, March 16, and will reassess closure on April 16. 

-- Powers Market in North Bennington will be temporarily closing effective Tuesday, March 17.

-- Rablogan Castle of Scotland in Manchester is offering curbside for their grocery and frozen food items.

-- Raven’s Den Steakhouse is offering drive-through take-out starting Thursday.

-- Red Fox in Bondville is offering take-out services.

-- Seasons Restaurant in Manchester will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for lunch and dinner, limited hours. Haigs will not be open. Lunch hours: 11:20-2 p.m. Dinner hours: 4-8 p.m. for take out and delivery to the Manchester/Dorset area. Paying with a credit card over the phone is preferable but cash will be accepted.

-- The Roadhouse is offering pickup food to go.

-- Union Underground is open  5 to 9 p.m. mid-week for take out, if it goes well we will extend hours on weekends.

-- Up For Breakfast is closed for now.

-- Village Roost is offering a limited menu for pickup orders; can order online.

-- Wilmington House of Pizza is offering pickup food to go.

-- Ye Olde Tavern in Manchester is offering take out pick up orders between 4 and 7 p.m.

-- Zoey Deli in Manchester will offer takeout beginning March 17 and delivery in Manchester and Dorset beginning March 18.

-- Zoey Double Hex in Manchester will offer takeout only beginning March 17.

Stores 

-- AT&T is closing 40 percent of stores. Stores that remain open will operate with adjusted hours, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; all stores nationwide closed on Sundays.

-- Bartleby's Books: Order online or over the phone for either curbside pickup. They are also offering free shipping.

-- Manchester Designer Outlets, Eileen Fisher, New Balance, JCrew and Vineyard Vines, are all closed for 2 weeks 

-- Northshire Bookstore in Manchester is open for curbside pickup only from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 362-2200 or visit www.northshire.com. Free shipping.

-- rk Miles will be open for business from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning March 20, in all locations, but stores and warehouses will be closed to the public. Stores will be closed on Saturday. Jobsite deliveries and curbside pickup will be available. All delivery orders not charged to a house account will need to be prepaid with a credit card.

-- The Safari Supply gun shop in Danby will remain open, daily; 802-239-4570. 

-- Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce offices in Bennington have been closed temporarily. 

Libraries

-- Bennington Free Library in Bennington will be closed effective March 17 until March 31. 

-- Brooks Memorial Library is closed until further notice. 

-- Guilford Free Library is closed to the public through April 6. 

-- John G. McCullough Free Library in North Bennington is closed at least until April 7.

-- Manchester Community Library is halting all public events through April 30, and is closing through April 13. All due dates for library materials currently checked out will be suspended until the Library reopens. Staff will aim to continue to be available from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, answering phones and serving the public virtually.

-- Pawlet Public Library is closed until further notice, effective March 18. 

-- Pettee Memorial Library: offering curbside pickup. Next this Saturday. Call for books and they will have them ready.

-- Rockingham Library is temporarily closing to the public beginning Tuesday, March 17, and all upcoming programs and events are canceled or postponed. No late fees will accrue on materials that were originally due during the closure period and due dates will be extended during the closure period. The book drop will be closed.

-- Winhall Memorial Library closed until further notice.

Galleries

-- Epoch gallery, a cooperative art & craft gallery, will be closed for two weeks.

Miscellaneous

-- Bellows Falls Opera House is temporarily suspending all movies.

-- Bennington Lanes and Babbling Brooke's indoor golf in Bennington will be closed until further notice.

-- Bromley has suspended operations and will evaluate the future.

-- Canal Street Art Gallery open by appointment until further notice. 

-- Community Bank N.A. is closing all branch lobbies and operating solely through available drive-thrus starting Thursday, March 19. 

-- Killington Resort has made the decision to close all resort operations, with a  plan to continue to reassess the situation and resume operations at the appropriate time. Pico Mountain will close indefinitely for the remainder of the 2019/20 winter season.

-- Manchester Gym is closed.

-- Otter Creek Fun Center is offering take-out, curbside pick-up and free delivery. Also, for the elderly/disabled - if they need anything from the grocery store/pharmacy, they can provide a list and Otter Creek will do their best to deliver their items with no contact. 

-- Phantom Fireworks is temporarily closing of all showrooms to the public as of March 17; purchases by appointment.

-- All operations at Salem Art Works shut down until Monday, April 20.

-- Savings Bank of Walpole, N.H. has temporarily closed the lobbies at each of their five branches.

-- SVMC practices and inpatient departments have postponed non-urgent visits and procedures beginning Thursday, March 19 until at least Sunday, April 5. 

Government

-- Manchester Town Offices will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday until further notice.

-- Pawlet Town Offices closed for the week of March 16. Dog License Renewals are extended until May 1. Voter registration can be done online at http://olvr.sec.state.vt.us.
