Single-vehicle crash in Arlington

ARLINGTON— Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning near Sandgate Road.

Investigation revealed that the 60 year-old driver of a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 swerved to avoid a tractor trailer he said had begun to cross into his lane of travel. The driver drove off the road, damaging the front end of his truck, shortly before 9 a.m.

The driver, who is from Manchester, was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, police say. No injuries were reported.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Arlington Fire Department and Arlington Rescue.

The truck was towed from the scene by Monarch's Towing due to "disabling damage," according to a VSP news release.
