BENNINGTON — The Vermont Arts Exchange will celebrate the end of its 25th birthday year with a party on Friday at Harvest Brewing, 201 South St. Showtime starts at 7 p.m., and general admission to support VAE will be $10.

With raw speed and gruff howling, Vermont's very own roadhouse string band, Saints & Liars, will take over the floor over at 7 p.m. Saints & Liars have shared the stage with Greensky Bluegrass, Ghost Of Paul Revere, Horseshoes & Handgrenades, Blind Owl Band, The National Reserve and more.

This summer, Saints & Liars played VAE's 25th birthday party and parade, in addition to playing bigger audiences at festivals such as Eastbound Throwdown, Winterwondergrass, and Green Mountain Bluegrass & Roots.

Saints & Liars includes Jed Hughes on vocals/ acoustic guitar, Mike Farkas on vocals/ resonator guitar, Chris Rogers on upright bass, Nolan Rolnick on snare drum and Cajon, and Will Mosheim on fiddle and banjo.

"We are taking the year out with a bang," Matthew Perry, director of VAE, said. "What better way than continuing to support local artists and businesses, plus great beer and food from the Harvest staff and dancing!"

The evening is sponsored by Harvest Brewing, Power Guru Electric Solar Systems, The Avocado Pit, Bennington Area Trail Systems, Eric Erthein and Wassick Tire. For more info, call VAE at 802-442-5549.
