Road work for the week of March 30

BENNINGTON — The next phase of PFOA water line extension work is under way. The following list of projects was supplied by the Bennington Department of Public Works. Motorists are asked to use caution and expect delays.

Apple Hill: Contractor crews continue setting up. Workers and equipment will be on the edges of the roadway.

Cortland Lane: Contractor crews will be setting up. Workers and equipment will be on the edges of the roadway.

Harwood Hill Road: Crew will begin the next phase of work between Northside Drive and the Route 7 connector. Workers and equipment will be on the edges of the roadway.

Houghton Lane will be reduced to one-lane traffic for the next several weeks as crews extend the water line.

Michael's Drive: Contractor crews continue setting up. Workers and equipment will be on the edges of the roadway.

Squaw Hill: Contractor crews continue setting up. Workers and equipment will be on the edges of the roadway.

Townwide: Highway crews will continue cleaning sidewalks throughout town. Some street may be temporarily closed or

reduced to one lane to accommodate necessary cleaning equipment. The highway street sweeper will also be in use throughout town.

The town reminds motorists that the winter overnight parking ban will be in effect until Wednesday. No parking is allowed on public streets between 2 and 6 a.m.
