Road construction for the week of Sept. 9

The following road projects are scheduled for this week.

BENNINGTON

Airport Road north and south will be reduced to one-lane traffic. Worker and equipment will be in the roadway, rebuilding manholes and paving. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Autumn Acres will be closed for the next several weeks to through traffic for PFOA water line extension work. Local traffic only will be allowed. Workers and equipment will be in the roadway. Motorists will need to find an alternate route.

Fox Hill will be reduced to one-lane traffic. Workers and equipment will be in the roadway rebuilding manholes and paving. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Harwood Hill Road between Orchard Road and the Route 7 connector will be reduced to one-lane traffic for the next several weeks for PFOA water line extension work. Workers and equipment will be on edges of the roadway. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Workers will be preparing to install a sidewalk along Kocher Drive. Workers and equipment will be on edges of the roadway. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

River Street between Benmont Avenue and Lincoln Street continues to be closed to through traffic while several crews work on its rehabilitation. Local traffic only will be allowed. Motorists will need to find another route.

Shields Drive will be reduced to one-lane traffic. Workers and equipment will be in the roadway rebuilding manholes and paving. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Whipstock Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic. Workers and equipment will be in the roadway rebuilding manholes and paving. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

Willow Road will be closed for the next several weeks to through traffic for PFOA water line extension work. Local traffic only will be allowed. Motorists will need to find another route.

Townwide, the Water Department will be repairing curb stops and installing flushing hydrants in various areas. Weed eating and mowing continues across town at various locations, and manhole sealing and road patching across town resumes. All work will be dependent on weather conditions. Motorists should use caution and expect delays.

JAMAICA/WINHALL

A road reclaim project is underway along VT-30 from the intersection of VT-100N to the intersection with VT-11 in Winhall. Travelers should expect multiple operations with alternating one-lane traffic, slower speed limits, and delays.

MANCHESTER/PERU/WINHALL

Paving will take place along VT-11 this week, with alternating one-way traffic throughout. Expect delays.

STAMFORD

A paving project is underway along VT-100. There will be alternating one-way traffic during daytime hours. Expect some small delays.

WILMINGTON-STRATTON

Paving activities will take place along VT-100 this week. Motorists can expect work between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. with alternating one-way traffic.
