Reward offered for information in July power tool burglary

DORSET — A private donor is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the July theft of approximately $10,000 in power tools from a property on Windhill Road, according to the Bennington Sheriff's Department.

Police say a suspect or suspects stole multiple Makita power tools and other items including circular saws, Bluetooth jobsite radios, a cordless blower, a sander, and a planer on July 23. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The person providing information must be willing to provide a sworn written statement and be willing to testify in court, police say.

Those with information are asked to call the Bennington County Sheriff's Department at 802-442-4900 and and ask for Sergeant Bravata.
