Renters 101 offers training

BENNINGTON >> Bennington Renters 101 recently offered a free training for Bennington residents. The training included three sessions: Housing Readiness and Search, Tenant Responsibilities, and Landlord Relations and Panel (including area landlords). There were approximately 18 participants in this three week program.

Bennington Renters 101 is a program developed by the Housing Committee of the Vermont Council on Rural Development Poverty Work Group. The Poverty Work Group was identified as a priority of the Bennington Residents at the VCRD Community Meeting in the Spring, 2012.

This was the third session of Bennington Renters 101: A Key to Happy Renting. The next session will be offered in the fall.

This photo is from the panel discussion. The three landlords at the table from the left are: Peter Cross, Pat Dwyer and Ann Weeks from THM. Not seen in this photo are Sandy Bessette from Applegate and Tracie Benjamin from Willowbrook.
