Racing in the Green Mountains

MANCHESTER — Vermonters have been racing cars for over a century, on mountainsides and drag strips, fairgrounds and dedicated tracks. At 7 p.m. on July 10, Amanda Gustin, public program manager at the Vermont Historical Society, will explore that history of racing in the Green Mountains. It's a story full of colorful personalities, innovative design, and tight-knit communities that takes place in every corner of the state.

This free program, open to the public, is co-sponsored by the Vermont Historical Society and is part of the library's Summer Wednesdays Series. For more information, call the library at 802-362-2607.
