Parenting workshop scheduled for April 13


BENNINGTON — National speaker and youth educator Mike Dreiblatt, co-author of the books "How to Stop Bullying and Social Aggression" and "The Wallop Story," will lead a 60-minute parent/community workshop titled "Parenting 5-10 Year Olds" from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 13 at Catamount Connections, 504 Main St., Suite 1, in Bennington.

Topics include mealtimes, sibling relationships, self-esteem and respect, managing aggression and competition, and academics and homework.

The event is sponsored by Project Against Violent Encounters, or PAVE, and Catamount Connections. Parents and caregivers will leave with real, actionable options and solutions to put into practice immediately.

PAVE's mission is to end domestic and sexual violence and to provide supportive and educational services to individuals, families, and the community of Bennington County Catamount Connections strengthens the community by supporting parents and caregivers to help families thrive.
