New director of nursing appointed

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. — Lisa Cramer, a Medical Surgical Board certified nurse who spent several years in that field before moving into management, has been appointed director of nursing at the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Cramer a, native of Hoosick Falls who recently moved back to the area, earned her nursing degree from the University of Rhode Island, and is currently finishing her master's in nursing education. Advancing in her career, she progressed to an intensive care cardiac nurse/nurse manager where she led a team caring for acutely ill patients.

Cramer has been part of the ANCC's Pathway to Excellence Program, which recognizes healthcare organization for creating a positive practice environment where nurses excel. She has been involved in helping to promote the magnet status; which is designed to measure strength and quality in nursing.
