MAUHS Drama Club presents 'Romeo and Juliet'
Directed by Tim Foley, the play is a story of an ancient feud between two families and when a young man from one falls instantly in love with a young woman from the other, the results are tragic. You probably had to read Romeo and Juliet in high school, but seeing it performed is infinitely better. It has something for everyone: intrigue, love, action, and tragedy. Teenagers will relate to love at first sight, family that doesn't understand them and the angst of being separated from the one they love. Parents will relate to the struggle of raising willful teens, long held grudges between families and the consequences of hate.
The students of the MAU Drama Club produce at least three shows each year. Past productions include "The Addams Family," "Oliver," "Into the Woods," and many more. All students are welcome and encouraged to audition for each production. In addition, club members are involved in all other aspects of theater including set construction, costumes, props, sound and lights. For more information about the Drama Club, call 802-447-7511.
