Patriots fall to Woodstock

BENNINGTON — The Mount Anthony field hockey team had its Senior Night Friday needing a win to get into the postseason.

The Patriots couldn't pull of the win though falling to Woodstock 5-3.

MAU would get on the board first in the first half with a goal by Chloe Rogers with the assist from Savana McDonald on the play. Woodstock would answer back with the next four goals in the contest.

The Patriots did not quit down three goals though and a pair of goals, one by Abby Farrington and the other from Kaitlin Banks, brought MAU within one goal.

Woodstock's McKenzie Yates would score her second goal of the contest to put the game away.

Woodstock had 11 corners in the game with six shots on goal, while the Patriots had five corners and 11 shots on goal.

Savannah Rogers made one save in the game for MAU.

BENNINGTON — The Mount Anthony Youth Athletic Association will host a pair of registration nights for its basketball program.

The two in-person registrations will take place on Nov. 7 and Nov. 9 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Bennington Elementary School.

The board will be at the registrations for parents to ask questions.

Registration is already online at and will be until Nov. 3. The cost is $40 per child or $70 per family.

MAYAA is for kids from grades 1 to 6.

Track and Treat Halloween Fun Run in North Bennington

NORTH BENNINGTON — The Village School of North Bennington is hosting a 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, Oct 28. There will also be an Obstacle/Adventure Course available for the younger children. Registration is at 8 a.m. with the Family Fun Run/Walk at 9 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk at 9:30 A.M.. 5K Pre-registration is $20, day of race is $25; Family Fun Run $10.
