on life of loons

Loon expert Jane MacKugler will present a virtual slide show and talk about the Lowell Lake loons on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. Her presentation, to be presented via Zoom, will be hosted by the Londonderry Conservation Commission.

This year, the Lowell Lake loon couple successfully hatched two chicks, which have been thriving and growing despite the many attempts of a takeover from intruding loons. Life isn't easy for loons: there are a lot of predators out there!
