New Year's resolutions for 2018

To the Editor:

Stop blaming Trump for everything. Blame the voters who made him president.

Never waste a vote by voting against your own interests. Never vote D/R. There are always better options on the ballot. Vote Socialist, Green, Libertarian, Independent....

Ask yourself: "What would Nader do?"

Protect all disenfranchised groups — the elderly, disabled, poor, homeless, immigrants....

Reform programs, such as The Involuntary Court Appointed Guardianship Program which puts the lives and property of the elderly and others at risk. Remember the Ronald Comeau case in Bennington.

Allow patients and doctors to opt-out of the digital health care record system. It has compromised the patient/doctor relationship and also put privacy at high risk.

Cut the Pentagon budget by 99 percent. De-authorize the Black Budget which is a violation of Article 1, Section 9 of the United States Constitution.

The U.S. Military is the greatest threat to the environment. Changing all the light bulbs on the planet won't help. Think about how much fuel is used by the F-35 per hour.

Most schools glorify war and romanticize the troops. Allow anti-war families a choice in schools for their children. This can be accomplished with a voucher system.

End the current trend of "gender shaming" men. Every person is unique and deserving of respect.
