To the Editor:

I am outraged that the board of the newly called Bennington Performing Arts Center put Eric Peterson in a position that he felt he had to resign. I attended Oldcastle's very first performance in 1972 and have been a devoted supporter ever since, both financially and by being a regular at the opening night performances for almost five decades. One of the things I was proudest of about Bennington was that, for a town as small as ours, we had our very own professional repertory theater. Without Eric, that will no longer be true. It is a terrible loss and a tragedy for Bennington.
