Letter: Motorist thanks good Samaritans
To the Editor:
This is a letter to the unnamed good Samaritans who appeared out of nowhere on the Fourth of July on Bank Street.
In attempting to park to view the fireworks, my car rolled into a ditch. The strangers who stopped, offered advice, assistance, and ultimately used a chain to extricate the car give new meaning to being neighbors. They interrupted their evenings, brought wives and children with them and then disappeared as quickly as they came going on to view the fireworks.
I never adequately thanked them but am humbled to be in such a wonderful community. Happy
Fourth of July.
