To the Editor:

The family of Henry "Hank" Marchand would like to acknowledge and thank the many friends and neighbors who assisted him in so many ways over the years.

For all of you that took him shopping, to doctors' appointments, to the Polish Hall, the Eagles, the Sand Bar, the American Legion and his weekly veterans' meetings, or just for a ride and back home again, we thank you. For all of you who just dropped by for a visit, brought groceries and "essentials," we are forever grateful.

Dad never wanted to be a burden, so he would tell us that he asked so and so to take him to shop or go to an appointment or wherever, as he did not want the same person to do it and feel like he was asking too much. He was liked by so many and many did so much! We are so grateful and so blessed knowing he had help, a phone call away, from any one of you.

With sincere gratitude,

Debbie, Ray and Steve Marchand and families
