Letter: Hundreds of families helped by donations

To the Editor:

On Dec. 15 and 16, Green Mountain Christian Center conducted our tenth annual "A Green Mountain Christmas."

The congregation, with the support of local businesses, service clubs and individuals, gave away thousands of Christmas gifts to families in need by helping hundreds of families choose toys for their children. Parents and grandparents were able to go home with wrapped new toys in preparation for Christmas morning. While parents "shopped" free of charge in the gift room, their children enjoyed cookies and milk, decorating an ice cream cone tree, listening to Christmas music and Christmas stories.

A very merry THANK YOU to the following merchants, service clubs and individuals for their enthusiasm and generosity in partnering with us to make this event such a joyful success. May God bless you all:
