Letter: Hundreds of families helped by donations
On Dec. 15 and 16, Green Mountain Christian Center conducted our tenth annual "A Green Mountain Christmas."
The congregation, with the support of local businesses, service clubs and individuals, gave away thousands of Christmas gifts to families in need by helping hundreds of families choose toys for their children. Parents and grandparents were able to go home with wrapped new toys in preparation for Christmas morning. While parents "shopped" free of charge in the gift room, their children enjoyed cookies and milk, decorating an ice cream cone tree, listening to Christmas music and Christmas stories.

One hundred percent of all donations are used towards the purchase of toys. To become a part of this event, donations are accepted all year, in anticipation of an even bigger event next year.
