Letter: Habitat director grateful for community support

To the Editor:

On Nov. 3, 2019, the community gathered together for Bennington County Habitat's Share Your Blessings Gala at the Publyk House in Bennington. Those who attended and those who supported the event raised more than $25,000 to bring affordable homeownership and home repair opportunities to our neighbors here in Bennington County.

The generous support of businesses and individuals made this event possible. Major sponsors included rk Miles, The Bank of Bennington and Orvis. Table Sponsors included The Bank of Bennington, Christos', D.B. McKenna & Co., David Mooney Architects & Mooney Interiors, Earth and Sea Fish Market, Heritage Family Credit Union, Little Rooster Caf , Mountain Goat North, Subaru of Bennington, Sushi Boat, TPW Real Estate, and Thai Basil.

More than 47 local businesses and individuals graciously provided items for the silent and live auctions. Lyman Foss kept the evening dynamic as auctioneer.

For the second year in a row, Lauren and Steven Bryant hosted the event in their beautiful space at the Publyk House. Along with their amazing staff, they gave tirelessly of their time and talent to make the evening special for everyone. The ninety attendees were treated to hors d'oeuvres and a delicious meal along with drinks. It is with deepest gratitude that Bennington County Habitat gives thanks to all of you who made this night possible. Your commitment to affordable housing in Bennington County is inspiring.
