To the Editor:

In response to "A lifetime of memories — and 6 Super Bowl wins" Tom Brady was an excellent drop-back passer, read defenses well, and handled pressure really well, but you would never confuse him with an outstanding all-round athlete. The teams that he played on won big because of Bill Belichick's coaching, and the Patriots are likely to keep winning without Brady. Belichick created a team where Brady could thrive, but so could most good quarterbacks. It's nice for Patriot fans to think of him as the greatest, but it's nonsense — a reality check is needed, along with a greater appreciation of Bill Belichick, who may be the greatest NFL coach of all time.

Kerby Lovallo,
