Letter: Browning offers report on legislative session
To the Editor:
The legislative session of 2019 ended in late May, and I am working on proposals for the next session in January. I would like to share my report on the session with constituents, and I want to be sure that community members know that I will continue to hold legislative office hours throughout the rest of the year.
My report is available online at www.cynthiabrowning.com — go to the Policy page and then Reports — or by contacting me at 802-375-9019 or email@example.com to request a copy by email or regular mail. In the report I summarize action on important issues during the session and in some cases I offer my perspective on what was done and what might be done better.
I hold legislative "office hours" over breakfast the first and second Saturdays of every month. Every first Saturday I will be at Chauncey's Restaurant on Route 7A in Arlington. Every second Saturday I will be at Charlie's Coffee House on Bonnet Street in Manchester.
As I work on proposals for the future I seek to design policies that are based on principles and real world conditions, rather than mere political rhetoric. Vermonters deserve policies that will really work. It would be useful to get comments, criticisms, and suggestions from community members in this endeavor.
Thanks as always to the voters of Arlington, Manchester, Sandgate and Sunderland for the opportunity to represent them in Montpelier.
The writer represents the Bennington-4 district in the Vermont House.
