WILMINGTON — The Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Jazz Concert Series announces their 2019 season, beginning Memorial Day Weekend. The series features music performed monthly from May through October in Historic Memorial Hall at 14 West Main St.

The Saturday concerts are fundraisers for area charitable foundations and lead by pianist Chris Bakriges. Joining Bakriges are bassist Avery Sharpe and drummer Billy Arnold. Admission is by tax-deductible donation at the door. All concerts begin at 8 p.m.

The recipient of the first concert on May 25 is the Vermont Veterans and Family Outreach Program, created in 2007 to help veterans and their families obtain the benefits they've earned through their service.
