Hoyt, Crosier shine for MAU before states

BENNINGTON — The Mount Anthony indoor track team had a strong day at the Last Chance indoor track meet.

Skyler Hoyt and Rebecca Crosier continued to dominate in their respective events as they both scored points at the Patriots final meet before states.

Crosier started off the day with a school record on her second triple jump attempt with a distance of 32'9.5".

She then placed 6th in the 300m shortly after while getting spiked in the process. She is currently ranked top 8 in four events.

Hoyt had a solid performance and became the first Vermont long jumper to break that 20' mark this season. He goes into his final indoor state championship ranked first out of both divisions.

MAU's distance squad of Paige Greenawalt, Evan Page and Mattheu Longtin all had strong performances and are looking strong heading into next weekend.

Emma Salem, Jack Haynes, Carli Kipp and Cooper Mason all had personal bests in their sprints.

The Patriots will compete in the Division I state meet this Saturday at the UVM Field House in Burlington.
