Hoosick Falls PFOA group to meet Oct. 23

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. — The next Hoosick Falls Community Participation Work Group meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the cafeteria of the Hoosick Falls High School, 21187 NY 22, in Hoosick Falls. CPWG meetings are open to the public.

The CPWG serves as a liaison for the community with state agencies involved in the remediation of Hoosick Falls contaminated sites. The Hoosick area Superfund sites include Saint-Gobain on McCaffrey Street; the former Oak Materials on John Street; Saint-Gobain on Liberty Street; the Hoosick Falls Landfill; and the Alexander Schmigel property. Investigative work is also being performed at potential Superfund sites, or "P" sites, which include Oak Materials on River Road; Interface Solutions; the former Dodge Machine; and Allied-Signal Laminate Systems on Mechanic Street.
