BENNINGTON — The Southern Vermont HomeBrew Festival has entered into a partnership with the Bennington Regional Chamber of Commerce, organizers have announced. This new alliance is expected to help the festival to grow and further enhance the attendee experience.

The 5th annual event will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 on Shields Drive. Patrons are encouraged to come and enjoy unlimited sampling of home brewed beer, wine, mead, cider and more. This event has unique vendors offering samples like Outdoor Secrets Hot Sauce and Crazy Mike's Beef Jerky, live entertainment, and eats from a number of food trucks.

"The Summer HomeBrew Festival is where it all started 5 years ago," Will Gardner, co-owner of HopRidge Farms, said in a media release. "We wanted a way to showcase the incredible Home Brewed beverages being produced in our area and a Home Brew Festival seemed like the place to start. We have focused over the years on making this festival fun, safe, and all about the Home Brewers. We are beyond excited to celebrate our 5th anniversary by teaming up with the Bennington Regional Chamber and reimaging this unique and wonderful event."

"We were excited when Will approached with the proposition," Matt Harrington, executive director of the Bennington Regional Chamber of Commerce, said in the release. "We have a great chemistry as we've seen the Winter Homebrew Festival, which we put on together, grow and succeed. I think Will and the chamber have a strong appreciation for a well-organized, safe, fun event; we also like celebrating craftsmanship and great brews! We're hoping that by aligning the Summer Homebrew Festival with the chamber's resources we can help Will grow this festival to be a magnet event in the Northeast."
