BENNINGTON — Steve Miyamoto, vice president of the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, will share information about the purposes and construction of covered bridges, while focusing on the bridges depicted in paintings from the Bennington Museum collection, on Thursday at 7 p.m. via Zoom.

The paintings are currently on view as part of the People's Choice exhibit.

Miyamoto joined the Vermont Covered Bridge Society in 2000. He is originally from downstate New York, and moved to Vermont in 1993. He retired in 2017 from IBM/Global Foundries in Essex Junction.

Miyamoto handles the website, social media, and marketing for the VCBS. In addition to his interest in covered bridges, he has played guitar for more than 50 years and started playing the cello in 2013.
