Green Mountain RSVP
The program, which serves millions of tax payers each year, is open to anyone seeking assistance with preparing their taxes. Although special emphasis is placed on low and middle incomes and older taxpayers, there is no income level or age limits. However, there are some limits around complexity.
Those attending one of the tax preparation sessions should have the following personal information ready to present:
Photo identification; Social Security cards for themselves, spouse and all dependents; Income statements including W-2’s from each employer, social security SSA-1099, and all other 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, 1099-B, 1099-MISC, 1099-R. etc.; Any unemployment compensation statements; Dependent care provider information including name, employer ID and Social Security number; Documentation for itemized deductions, such as receipts and cancelled checks; Personal check showing routing and account numbers for direct debit or deposit; Documentation of purchase price of sold assets; Copies of last year’s tax returns including federal and state; 2018 local property tax bill and / or landlord rental certificate (LC-142); and health care documents: 1095-A series.RP tax preparation.
Walk-in sites include:
North Bennington, St. John Baptist Church, Wednesdays, 1 to 4 p.m., February 6 – April 10.
Manchester, Manchester Town Hall, Fridays 9 a.m. to noon, February 8 – April 12
Additionally, tax preparation services will also be available by appointment only at the following site:
Bennington, St. Francis Church – Parish Hall, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 to 4 p.m., February 5 – April 11; Mondays, 9 a.m. to noon, February 4 – April 8
