Galle nets seven, MAU rolls past Greylock


WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Avery Galle continued her torrid end to the season with another big day on Friday against Mount Greylock.

Galle scored seven goals to lead the Mount Anthony girls lacrosse team to an 18-8 win against the Mounties.

The senior attacker has 29 goals over the last four games, putting her total at 60 tallies for the year.

Galle had six assists as well.

Amber Metcalfe had five goals, while Caroline Musinski had four. Marisa Rabideau and Alexis Harrington both had one.

Sophia Kipp had 11 saves in the win.

MAU improves to 6-9 and awaits its seeding for the Division I tournament next week.

SMS tops Pittsfield

STRATTON — The Stratton Mountain School girls lacrosse team played its first-ever game against Pittsfield Wednesday, winning their penultimate game of the season 11-8.

Pittsfield caught up with a shooting streak, eventually tying the game 7-7.

The SMS girls kept their cool and pulled ahead to end the game with an 11-8 finish.

Caitlin Collins scored three points throughout the game. Lauren Abdow also had some extremely technical shots and led the offense with four points overall.

Eliza Sullivan scored twice, while Tess Beyer and Jessica Owles each scored once.

Post 13 meet and greet

BENNINGTON — The Post 13 American Legion baseball team will be hosting a meet and greet at 6 p.m. Sunday night at Mount Anthony Union High School.

Anyone interested in playing for the Post 13 team this summer is encouraged to attend.

Players born in 2000 through 2004 are eligible to play this season.

3-D Tri-State Competition

BENNINGTON — Catamount Bow Hunters Inc. is hosting a 3-D Tri-State Competition on Sunday, June 2.

Registration for the event runs from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Adults cost $10 to participate, while youths cost $5. Cubs get free admission with a paid adult.

There will be food and beverages available and members and non-members are welcome to participate.

Catamount Bow Hunters is located on Route 7 South, Fuller Road West in Bennington.
