Events planned for National Library Week
BENNINGTON — The Bennington Free Library is celebrating National Library Week with a variety of events.
All this week is Fine Free Week, with no fines charged on any items returned. There will also be a raffle for a number of prizes.
On Tuesday, Story Rhythms for Babies and Toddlers will be held from 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the Rotary Room. Come early and play at 10 a.m. Story Rhythms is a special time filled with songs, stories and movement for children 4-36 months.
Preschool Storyhour will not be held this week because of a special event celebrating the BFL's volunteers. The Library will close at noon on Wednesday, April 10.
Museum ABCs will be held on April 11 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Bennington Museum. Museum ABCs is a free program for preschoolers and their parents or caregivers.
"Click! Creating with Photos" is the theme for this month. Participants will look at "Up Home," an exhibit of hand-colored photographs by Susanne and Neil Rappaport, and create their own hand-colored photo collages. Museum ABCs is a collaboration between Bennington Free Library and the Bennington Museum.
Fine Art is the theme this month in the Children's Room. Come check out the changes as Discovery Centers and book displays are added to the room this week.
