Dad gets better of son in Panther victory

SCHAGHTICOKE, N.Y. — In the battle of Lilac vs Lilac, the older got the better of the younger as Mike Lilac Jr.'s Hoosick Falls Panthers topped Alex Lilac's Hoosic Valley Indians, 62-43, on Friday night.

Jon Kempf led four Panthers in double figures with 26 points. Dmitri Rose was next with 13 points, Tristan Williams added 11 and Max Kipp had 10.

The victory was the 55th in a row in Wasaren League competition for Hoosick Falls.

Hoosick Falls led by 10 after the opening quarter and extended its lead to 14 at the half.

Logan Reilly was the only Hoosic Valley player to reach double figures, leading the Indians with 17 points.

Hoosick Falls improves to 9-1 on the season.
