Norfolk Chamber Music Festival

Posted by norfolk@yale.edu

Technological changes started influencing music long before today's digital world. The introduction of the metronome, for instance, meant Beethoven and others could specify exactly how fast or slow a particular movement should be played. Technological Advances explores this theme in a concert July 12 at Norfolk Chamber Music Festival.

Featured composers are CPE Bach, Telemann, Beethoven and Harbison. Performers are Ransom Wilson on flute, William Purvis on horn and Melvin Chen on piano, along with the fellows of the Norfolk Festival.
