2-part workshop on Lego robots

The Bennington Area Makers are offering a two-part, interactive Lego robot workshop for kids in 4th-8th grade. The workshop will be held Jan. 18 and 25 from 1-3 p.m. Pre-register by emailing at to reserve your spot. This two-session workshop is limited to 12 students. A fee of $5 covers both sessions.

BAM is located at 239 Main St., Bennington.

Resource fair offered at Molly Stark School

The Molly Stark Parent Teacher Group will hold its fourth annual Community Resource Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Molly Stark School cafeteria.

This event is open to the entire Bennington community. It is a chance for residents to showcase the services their organizations offer to the community.

Italian language basics for travelers offered

Beginning Jan. 23, Letitia Scordino will lead a four-part workshop on basic Italian language for anyone who may be planning a trip to Italy. She will offer a practical, Italian-made-simple approach to learning the language. The course will consist of four one-hour morning sessions meeting on Thursdays, Jan. 23 and 30, and Feb. 6 and 13 at Equinox Village, 49 Maple St., Manchester. Enrollment is limited and pre-registration is required. The registration fee is $75. Titleholders to appear at Snowshoe Vermont

Jillian Fisher, Miss Vermont 2019, and Danielle Trottier, Miss Vermont's Outstanding Teen 2019, will be participating and volunteering at the 2020 Snowshoe Vermont, the Susan G. Komen New England Affiliate has announced. The event takes place the morning of Jan. 26 at the Grafton Trails & Outdoor Center, 783 Townshend Road, Grafton.

Preregistration, demo snowshoes fittings light breakfast offerings and Tea Cup Auction ticket sales begin at 9 a.m. A group Survivor photo and fundraising recognition are scheduled beginning at 9:45 a.m., prior to the start of the snowshoe walk at 10.

If you are interested in either the 3K or 5K snowshoe walk, visit to register. Online registration is open through Jan. 24. In-person registration will be available on Jan. 25 between 4-6 p.m. at The Grafton Inn, located at 92 Main St., Grafton, and on the morning of the event beginning at 9 a.m. at the Grafton Trails & Outdoor Center.

Korean War veterans to meet on Feb. 6

The February meeting for Ch.60 Korean War Vet. Assoc., will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6, at 1:30 p.m., at the VFW home, at the end of Veterans' Way off the arterial, just North of Saratoga Springs. All veterans who served anywhere during the Korean War, in Korea at any time, spouses, widows, friends and relatives are all invited to attend. New members are always welcome.
