Bow Hunters club hosting Hunter Shoot

BENNINGTON — The Catamount Bow Hunters will be hosting their fourth and final shoot of the season on Sunday. The Hunter Shoot will feature 30 3-D targets with "hunter style shots" for all participants.

Registration will be open from 7 a.m. until noon on Sunday.

Those participating must bring their own bow. Crossbows are welcome.

The club will also be announcing the winner of their raffle. Prizes include a cross bow and three Rinehart targets.

The cost is $10 per person, $20 per family. Kids under 12 years old are free with any paying adult.

Ron Jones celebration of life

HOOSICK, N.Y. - On Aug. 30, Hathaway's Drive-In will be showing a movie celebrating the life of Ron Jones.

Join us as his friends and family recount stories of Ron as a beloved father, husband, colleague, mentor, coach and friend. There will not be an admission fee to view the movie. If interested, we are asking donations be made to the Ron Jones Fund and to purchase concessions while at the drive-in.

The movie is approximately one-hour in length with a showing scheduled at 8:15 p.m.

The drive-in has a limited number of parking spaces available for each showing.To account for the number attending, we are asking the driver of each vehicle to reserve a spot.

While at the drive-in, everyone must adhere to their rules and all social distancing regulations. Face masks are required if you leave your vehicle for concessions. Please remember to follow these rules when in attendance as Ron would promote and appreciate. Thank you.
