Madeleine May Kunin was the first woman governor

of Vermont who went on to serve as deputy secretary

of the U.S. Department of Education and U.S.

Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein in the

Clinton administration. Ambassador Kunin returns to

Pittsfield, where she graduated Pittsfield High School

in 1952, to discuss her remarkable career and her latest

book, “Coming of Age, My Journey to the Eighties.”

Ambassador Kunin will have for sale and sign copies of

her book after the talk.
