Bennington Cooling and Heating honors longtime employees
BENNINGTON — Bennington Cooling and Heating has honored three employees who have each been with the company for the past 25 years.
Mary S. King, bookkeeper; Joseph "Joe" Murray, senior technician; and George O'Brien, general manager, were honored during a small outdoor luncheon, where the fewer than 25 employees attending practiced social distancing.
"Even through we are in the mist of the pandemic we felt we could not let this note worthy anniversary go unnoticed," corporate president Jerry Albert said.
"Our company provides an 'essential service,' so our staff has received COVID-19 Vermont State training. The extra precautions has put additional stress on our staff," Albert said. "So it was a little relief for all of us to take a some time to honor our co-workers."
Albert presented a traditional engraved gold watch to King, Murray and O'Brien.
Bennington Cooling and Heating has been providing heating, air conditioning and commercial refrigeration equipment and service for over 40 years. They are headquartered at 303 Depot St.
