Good morning, foodie friends.

This Sunday is one of my favorite times of the year: We get to eat nothing but junk for dinner, all in the name of a national pastime.  

On Super Bowl Sunday, my family will go all in on my favorite leftover nachos (a non-recipe recipe that uses up anything you have in the fridge.) Preheat your oven to 325 degrees, fill an oven-safe dish with your favorite sturdy tortilla chips, cover with nacho cheese, salsa, black beans and any kind of leftover meat you may have sitting around in the fridge. Pulled pork? Check. Shredded chicken? Check. Taco meat? Even better. Pop it all in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cheese is gooey and you can smell the nachos calling to you. Top with sour cream, more cheese (of course!) and any leftover grilled vegetables you have or sliced avocado.

As my son likes to say, “Mommy, we’re having chips for dinner!?!” Yes, my darling boy, isn’t America great?

If you’re feeding a crowd on Sunday, you may want to opt for one of our reader-submitted recipes: from cheesy dips to an easy caramelized chili shrimp that packs a ton of flavor with little effort. Or, if wings are a must, try making these sticky wings — the secret ingredient is a can of Coca-Cola.



And if all else fails, and you just want to order out for pizza, here are a few of our favorite spots.

Go Pats! Or Rams, I guess! (Really, I’m just here for the food.)
