BAYADA Home Health Care names new local director

BENNINGTON — BAYADA Home Health Care has named Jennifer Scoggins the new director of its Bennington office.

Scoggins, a resident of Shaftsbury, started working for the organization as a physical therapist in 2014, after filling the same role at Southwest Vermont Medical Center from 2010 to 2014.

"I came to BAYADA for its welcoming work environment and for the work-life balance," she said. "What I have discovered is BAYADA is also fully committed to start-to-finish patient care. I am proud to work for a company with such a well-rounded business practice."

"I want to ensure patients and their families that I'm committed to hiring the right staff in order to benefit them to best of our ability," she said. "We offer flexible schedules, benefits, scholarships, and the job satisfaction of working one-on-one with your patient."

Scoggins is married to Shaftsbury Select Board chairman, and state representative candidate, Tim Scoggins, and lives with him and their 14-year-old daughter. She has previously volunteered in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin, in economics, and her master's degree in physical therapy from Texas State University.

"At BAYADA Home Health Care, we strive to serve a special purpose," reads the company's description on its website, "to help individuals in need have a safe home life with comfort, independence, and dignity. We provide nursing, rehabilitative, therapeutic, hospice, and assistive care services to children, adults, and seniors worldwide. We care for our clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
