Bartleby's Books to spotlight local photographer
WILMINGTON — Bartleby's Books is hosting its annual show of Nicki Steel's photography throughout the month of February. Entitled "Home Is Where The Heart Is," Steel's show is a celebration of love. It includes her endearing "Hearts in Nature" series, and also a selection of photos which highlight landscapes and scenery from the Deerfield Valley, Steel's beloved home of nearly 50 years.
Cards and enlargements will be available for purchase throughout the month. Additionally, this year Steel will be able to calligraph a short inscription on enlargements, a perfect Valentine's Day gift. Call or email Bartleby's Books for details.
Bartleby's is featuring Steel for a meet and greet as its first event in the Apres Ski After 3 event series organized by Wilmington Works through the month of February. Come meet Steel at Bartleby's from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2. She will be sharing a slideshow of her favorite wildlife photos, and also kicking off a month long contest. How well do you know the Deerfield Valley? A series of photos will be on-hand featuring points of local interest, and participants can try their hand at guessing the location from which each photo was taken. Steel will be sharing hints on the afternoon of her meet & greet. Participants with the most right answers can enter to win first and second prizes, awarded at the end of February.
Bartleby's Books, located at 17 West Main St., is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, contact the store at 802-464-5425, email@example.com or visit myvermontbookstore.com.
