NORTH BENNINGTON — Bennington police are searching for two people who robbed Paulin's gas station and convenience store at knifepoint Friday night.

Police said two entered the 2 Bank St. store around 8 p.m., wearing hooded sweatshirts with the hoods covering their faces. One was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans; the other wore a grey or dark brown hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. They showed the clerk a note and displayed a knife.

The two were seen getting into a tan or gold pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet S-10 or Dodge Dakota, with a Vermont registration, and driving away on College Road. The truck had an orange light on top of the cab, and a possibly damaged passenger-side headlamp.

Police did not say how much money was taken in the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bennington Police Department at 802-442-1030.
