LaPointe promoted to bank branch manager

BENNINGTON — Elizabeth LaPointe has been promoted to branch manager for the North Street and Phyllis Lane Branch, the Bank of Bennington has announced.

LaPointe joined the bank in 2003 as a teller. In 2010, she moved into the New Accounts Department. Over time, her job has grown beyond opening new accounts and includes managing the consumer loan portfolio.

She is a graduate of The New England School of Banking and has obtained her supervisor certificate. She resides in Shaftsbury with her husband and her son.

"We are very pleased with Elizabeth's contribution to the bank," Jim Brown, president of The Bank of Bennington, said. "This well-deserved promotion is in recognition of her hard-work and dedication."
