Movie premiere reception: 5:30 p.m. "Second Act," starring Jennifer Lopez. Two locals involved in the film, its writer and producer, Justin Zackham (The Bucket List, The Big Wedding), and one of its stars, Treat Williams (Once Upon A Time in America, Hair, Prince of the City), will attend a meet and greet at 5:30 at the stART Space gallery in Manchester, followed by a 7 p.m. screening at Village Picture Shows in Manchester, followed by a Q&A with Zackham and Williams. Works on Paper Gallery: "Where Did You Come From Anyway?" is an exhibition of works by Pat Musick, a retrospective of work from her career spanning 55 years. On view through Dec. 30; closing reception Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. Bennington Museum, 75 Main St., Bennington. The museum is closed on Christmas, and closes at 1 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31.
Holiday members show: "Merrie Olde England," through Dec. 31. Every December the small gallery becomes a showcase for the Valley Artisans Market members' work and with a theme of how the Christmas season is celebrated around the world. Bennington and the Great War: An exhibition that explores the impact of World War I on the small town of Bennington. Over 500 Bennington men joined the armed forces, and about half of that number saw service in Europe. For many of them it was their first time outside of Vermont. Through Dec. 30.
