POWNAL — American Legion Post 90 of Pownal held its installation of officers on May 30 at the post.

Legion officers: Commander, Ralph Leonard; 1st vice commander, James D. Mason; 2nd vice commander, Ray Gifford; sergeant at arms, Ashley Harwood; finance officer, Steve McCay; service officer, Wayne Blair; chaplain, James L. Mason; gistorian; James Winchester.

Sons of the Legion: Commander; David Woodcock; 1st vice commander, Francis Beaudreau; 2nd vice commander, Chris Hattat; adjutant, Justin Dean; finance officer, Kevin Dean; chaplain, Howard Armstrong.

American Legion Auxiliary officers: President, Linda Moxley; vice president, Lisa Bump; secretary, Caroline Martel; treasurer, Julie Weber; chaplain, Karen Beaudreau; historian, Julie Weber. Members at large, Amanda Dean and Lynn Dean. Membership chairman, Caroline Martel.

Installing officers were District # 4 Commander Steve Greenslet from Post 13 in Bennington for the Legion members. Senior vice commander for District #4 Sons of the Legion was David Hendee. Auxiliary president of District #4 Sharon Corey installed the auxiliary officers, and her sergeant at arms was Bonnie Burke of Unit #31 of Rutland.

The ceremonies began with the Pledge of Allegiance by Commander Ralph Leonard. The program was followed with a Pot Luck Dinner enjoyed by members and guests.
