3 motorists receive tickets in State Police saturation patrol
POWNAL — On Saturday and Sunday, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks conducted saturation patrols on all secondary roads throughout the town of Pownal. Police said the purpose of the patrol was to detect and identify aggressive and speeding drivers, enforce motor vehicle laws, promote safe driving, and to apprehend impaired drivers.
Police said four troopers were involved in the effort. Sixteen vehicles were stopped, and three tickets were issued. Fifteen drivers received written warnings, police said.
