Mount Anthony in search of coaches

Mount Anthony is looking to fill two vacant coaching positions.

Both the girls and boys varsity lacrosse teams are looking for a coach.

Arlington boys win season finale

Arlington finished their regular season off strong, beating Mount Saint Joseph Academy 6-1 on Thursday.

Lewis Whalen tallied two goals and two assists for the Eagles. Tyler Seeley also put two into the net for Arlington.

Dominic Whalen led the team in assists with three, and also scored a goal.

Hunter McDermott scored the only unassisted goal of the night for Arlington.

Bryce Harrington was credited with five saves in the win, including saving a penalty kick.

Long Trail girls win in double OT

Long Trail girls soccer defeated West Rutland 4-3 in double overtime on Wednesday.

Molly Sanderson was responsible for two goals and two assists, including the game winner with 2:36 to play in the second overtime. Sanderson scored unassisted covering most of the field before placing the ball into the net.

LTS held a 1-0 advantage at the half off a goal from Adriana Grabach.

With LTS ahead 2-0 after a Sanderson score, West Rutland scored two quick goals in the later portion of the second half to even the score.

Cecily Carmel once again gave LTS the lead with a score, but West Rutland got a goal of their own with less than 10 minutes to play, forcing overtime.
