RUTLAND -- The Mount Anthony girls cross-country team had all five of its scoring runners in the top 11 as they were victorious at the Rutland meet at Northwood Park on Saturday.

MAU scored 31 points, just ahead of Woodstock’s 37 and Rutland’s 57.

Maggie Payne won the race in 23 minutes, 17 seconds. Chloe Stitcher was fifth in 26:13 with Eden White close behind in sixth in 26:17. Claire Zempfer was eighth and Sophia Anisman was 11th.

The boys were third with 78 points, behind Rutland and Woodstock. Finn Payne was the highest Patriot finisher in 12th (21 minutes, 42 seconds). Andrew Ponessi was 13th, Aaron Whitman 17th, Ved Patel 20th and Mitchell Cody was 21st.
